Teen Patti, meaning “three cards” in Hindi, is a popular card game played with a standard 52-card deck (no Jokers). In this game, the Ace is the highest card, while Two is the lowest. Players bet on whether Player A’s hand or Player B’s hand has the higher-ranking cards.
The ranking of hands, from highest to lowest, is as follows:
- Pure Sequence (Straight Flush): Three consecutive cards of the same suit.
- Trail (Three of a Kind): Three cards of the same rank.
- Sequence (Straight): Three consecutive cards in different suits.
- Color (Flush): Three cards of the same suit that are not in sequence. The highest card wins in case of a tie.
- Pair (Two of a Kind): Two cards of the same rank. The higher pair wins in case of a tie.
- High Card: A hand with no pairs, straights, or flushes. If players share a high card, the next highest card determines the winner.
